| So my big exciting news of interviewing Cindy Sheehan for the university radio station totally fell apart. She did give me her media person's phone number so I might still be able to do a phone interview at a later date or something. Everything would have been fine if all those stupid Puna hippies hadn't shown up. Dirty hippies ruin everything. They make us on the left look like idiots because they happen to go to the same events as the rest of us. Thus, all the normal people in America associate left/liberal ideals as those of dirty hippies. This is why protests don't work anymore. You go to an anti war protest and you have a bunch of feckin' hippies carrying paper mache' GMO monster corn and toothless 25 year olds rattling on about animal testing. It has got to stop. We need to eliminate the hippies from our movement or else we will never be taken seriously again! I don't know how Sheehan does it. If one of those dirty freaks caressed my face uninvited I would throw the whole peace movement out the window and start wailing on some vegans. The crazy hippies would run up and take the mic from her and start rambling on about whatever unrelated guru/yoga/vegan/hemp issue drove them to insanity and eventually someone less-crazy would have to drag them away. Sheehan has patience, man. |

| Watchdog likely to report that Iran is defying UN |
| Here. Excerpt: The world's nuclear watchdog which reports to the U.N. Security Council on Friday is likely to confirm Iran has flouted demands to stop enriching uranium, a verdict that could unleash moves to hit Tehran with sanctions. International Atomic Energy Agency chief Mohamed ElBaradei was also expected to say Iran was still stalling IAEA inquiries into its nuclear work, the other salient issue cited in a 30-day Council deadline for Iranian cooperation that expires on Friday. But Iranian defiance has only hardened over the last month, with Tehran saying it has enriched enough uranium to fuel power plants for the first time and is researching a machine to enrich even faster. It also said its nuclear drive was irreversible. Wow, way to state the obvious. So when does the war to end all wars begin? |

| Now that crazy Berlusconi is out of the picture Italy is ready to withdraw troops, especially after roadside bombs this week kill a number of them |
| Here. Excerpt: A roadside bomb that killed three Italian soldiers in Nasiriya, Iraq, on Thursday quickly caused problems for the government being formed by Romano Prodi. "This tragedy hits all of Italy," he said in a statement. Politically, the deaths refocused Italy's antipathy to the war, which remained strong even as the outgoing prime minister, Silvio Berlusconi, slowly withdrew troops from Iraq, reducing the Italian force from a peak of 3,200 to about 2,600. A thousand more soldiers are expected to be home by June and all the rest by the end of the year. Some of Prodi's coalition partners urged an immediate withdrawal of all the soldiers. "The right is using this serious episode of terrorism to justify the Italian military presence in Iraq," said Paolo Cento, a leader of the Green Party. He said it was "therefore that much more opportune to arrive at a rapid withdrawal." The soldiers were killed when a convoy carrying Italian and Romanian troops was hit by a bomb in the southern city. A Romanian was also killed. A fourth Italian was wounded and transferred to a U.S. hospital where he was in serious condition. The deaths raised to 36 the total number of Italians, military and civilian, who have died in the Iraq conflict. The attack came at a moment of political flux for Italy, one day before the country's newly elected Parliament was to convene for the first time. Under the stewardship of Berlusconi, who was defeated in national elections this month, Italy has been one of the United States's most stalwart allies in Iraq. Prodi has long opposed the war. But he did not agree to rush the withdrawal. "Our position isn't changing," he said. "It is by no means different from that which is being expressed by the majority of the American pubic and not far from what the Italian government expressed today when they declared to have a withdrawal by the end of 2006." What happens when the "Coalition of the Willing" is no longer willing? We have already lost Poland and Spain... That leaves us with the UK, Italy, Romania, Australia and like 35 Pacific island nations that have no actual militaries of their own |

| Here. Excerpt: In formally naming the Fox News commentator Tony Snow to be his press secretary on Wednesday, President Bush completed a decade-long transformation of the role of the presidential spokesman from behind-the-scenes functionary to daily on-camera personality. Mr. Snow is something the White House briefing room has not yet had at the lectern: a star of the opinionated cable news era. But he is also something Mr. Bush has never had: a free-wheeling outsider in a very public position, and one with a history of sharing critical opinions of the president. What? "[A] free-wheeling outsider... [O]ne with a history of sharing critical opinions of the president." What history are they referring to? Where flip flops from Bush being the greatest president to only being a great president? Tony Snow BJ'd his way into a position at the White House. Critical my ass. |

| Google is making it so I can whore myself out to them more |
| Here. Excerpt: Google has unveiled a new plan to spread the open-source Firefox Internet browser, starting off a new phase in the browser wars with Microsoft. An offer from the Internet search giant enables Web sites to run small ads promoting Firefox and gain a referral fee of one dollar for every downloaded version of Firefox that has a Google toolbar. Google launched the new program Wednesday evening by running an ad for the first time on its usually ad-free home page. The campaign also represents the first time Google has offered a financial incentive for the adoption of Firefox. Even without such help, the open source browser has steadily been gnawing away at the dominance of Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser since 2004. From a market share high of 95 percent, Internet Explorer is now down to 85 percent, as web surfers discover the smooth delights of Firefox, which offers better security and powerful features, including tabbed browsing, which allow you to open multiple windows in a single browser, and "autofill" which automatically completes form applications. So, hey, If you want to throw Houston Wade (me) a dollar, download the Firefox browser below. This ad will be here from here on out. Whenever you get a new computer just download this puppy and we'll be in business! |

| When Democrats do stupid, exploitable things... |
| California Dem legislators change rules of May 1st walkout so that they can still make salary |
| Here. Excerpt: The California State Assembly regularly holds floor session on Mondays and Thursdays to vote on bills. However, Monday May 1st they will not be meeting, as the Democrats have chosen to participate in the work stoppage supporting illegal immigration which is planned for that day. But instead of canceling session all together, they changed to a check-in session so that they could still collect their per-diem. Today during closing statements, Assemblyman Dennis Mountjoy (R- Monrovia) chastised Assembly Democrats. He asked why they would collect per-diem when everyone else who is taking the day off will not be getting paid at all? He went on to suggest that Republicans come to the capital on Monday, the day of protest and demand that they be allowed to work in the place of Democrat legislators because they are willing to do the work the Dems are unwilling to do. And they will do it at half the pay! Protest is about sacrifice, people. Don't look like a tool so that you can earn that extra $75 or whatever it is you make per diem. Sigh, I have to agree with the Republicans on this one. |

| Chinese pirates manage to duplicate electronics powerhouse NEC from documentation to warehouses to even entire factories |
| Here. Excerpt: At first it seemed to be nothing more than a routine, if damaging, case of counterfeiting in a country where faking it has become an industry. Reports filtering back to the Tokyo headquarters of the Japanese electronics giant NEC in mid-2004 alerted managers that pirated keyboards and recordable CD and DVD discs bearing the company's brand were on sale in retail outlets in Beijing and Hong Kong. Like hundreds, if not thousands, of manufacturers now locked in a war of attrition with intellectual property thieves in China, the company hired an investigator to track down the pirates. After two years and thousands of hours of investigation in conjunction with law enforcement agencies in China, Taiwan and Japan, the company said it had uncovered something far more ambitious than clandestine workshops turning out inferior copies of NEC products. The pirates were faking the entire company. This is definitely a first but I bet there will be more to follow. I read an article recently that said that counterfeit electronics was more of China's economy than legitimate ones. Heck, if I start a business I am going to corner the market and counterfeit my own stuff. That way I can make money off of everybody! |

| in regards to the foam, seat covers, etc. You are kidding, no? Your position is that those items traveled seven miles in terrain covered with foliage? I find that hard to believe. Spiders have a method of momentum and an ability to alter their direction to avoid or get around such things. When a 500 billion Joule explosion from jet fuel happens does the explosion not propel things up? The debris that made it several miles from the flight 93 crash site was things like seat covers and foam. Here is a link to a report of the crash of Flight 427. It was a smaller plane that crashed with far less energy and at a low angle unlike witness reports of Flight 93 and yet debris like foam and a passenger's business card were found 2.5 miles from the crash site. Nova asked an expert about nose first crashes... NOVA: What kind of things might lead an airplane to arrive nose-first into the ground? KING: Arriving nose-first the aircraft was basically out of control. It could happen if the aircraft were to stall -- that is, lose lift on the wings -- and pitch nose-down and be too close to the ground for the pilot to achieve a recovery. An aircraft out of control for other reasons could crash into the ground in a similar nose-down attitude but in an unstalled state. There one would expect to see much higher energy, much more fragmentation, much more ground penetration perhaps. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/vanished/wreckage.html It would seem that we agree on one thing...we don't know what happened. We do know that at least SOME of the physical evidence and "eyewitness" accounts contradict or at least throws into question the validity of the "official" story, such as unreleased video footage which would put the pentagon issue to rest, voice recorders, I heard explosives, you saw a plane, etc. This then makes it a conspiracy, not a conspiracy theory. People have conspired to make sure we don't receive the truth. Dennis The Truth is paramount but by coming up with cockeyed theories that don't float with the laws of physics and stating things that just aren't true as fact you completely miss the point of finding the Truth. Like, who makes a Rube Goldberg machine of death inside the WTC complex? Why crash two giant jets, set explosives and also have planted thermite cut through the supports? Seems just a little redundant especially considering that there is already a terrorist group that already takes credit for the whole thing. |

| NASA is in the business of picking up roadkill |
| Here. Excerpt: NASA is trying to rid the Kennedy Space Center of vultures after the shuttle struck one of the large birds during lift-off last year on the first flight after the Columbia disaster. The space center has set up what it calls a "road kill posse" to quickly clear as many carcasses as possible from the 6,000-acre site (2,400-hectare), in hopes of encouraging the vulture population to relocate by cutting off its food supply. When shuttle Discovery lifted off the launch pad last July on the first flight since the 2003 Columbia accident, it hit a vulture during its climb to orbit. Discovery did not suffer any damage that time, from the vulture or from the chunks of foam that fell off its fuel tank during launch. But NASA fears collisions with the large, carrion-eating birds could damage shuttle heat shields, leaving the spacecraft vulnerable to an accident like the one that killed Columbia's seven astronauts. I think the space shuttle should have an "I break for birds" bumper sticker. |

| Qatar to rest of world: "Shut yer yaps and the price will drop, ye feckin' idiots!" |
| Here. Excerpt: Qatar plans to invest $5 billion through 2010 in an attempt to increase the production of crude oil. Qatari Energy Minister Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Attiyah said the price of oil would drop by $15 should politicians end their expressions of concern over a halt in supplies. Al Attiyah said the record oil prices of more than $75 per barrel was the result of fears and speculation within the market. Qatar intends to allocate $5 billion over the next five years to boost oil production capacity to 1.1 million barrels per day. Current production was reported at 850,000 barrels per day. "We are putting a lot of effort and investment into increasing our oil output," Al Attiyah said on the sidelines of the International Energy Forum in Doha on April 23. The only reason prices are so high is because we are being gouged. Production can be as high as ever and the price of oil is completely arbitrary. Just look at these guys... |

| Exxon Mobile is ready to set yet another profit record |
| Here. Excerpt: Exxon Mobil Corp., the world's biggest oil company, said first-quarter net income climbed to $8.4 billion from $7.86 billion as increasing global energy demand lifted prices. Per-share profit rose to $1.37 from $1.22 a year earlier, Irving, Texas-based Exxon Mobil said today in an e-mailed statement. The company was expected to earn $1.47 a share, the average estimate from 20 analysts surveyed by Thomson Financial. Oil and natural-gas prices rose amid concern over supply disruptions in Nigeria, Russia and Venezuela. Lingering damage from last year's hurricanes to production platforms in the Gulf of Mexico, the U.S.'s biggest domestic source of oil and gas, reduced supplies. Bullshit. Every year hurricanes damage platforms (they should expect it by now) and production out of Venezuela and Russia are as high as ever. Sure Nigeria has problems but when has Nigeria not had problems? They have been in a freaking civil war since independence anyway. It's not like Nigeria was a placid bastion of peace in 1999 when oil was $10 a barrel. This "crisis" is purely manufactured. Exxon doesn't even purchase oil! Exxon extracts the oil from the ground and then sells it to itself for shipping. They then sell it to themselves again for refining and then sell it to themselves again for distribution and then sell it to themselves again at their company owned service stations. It is a false market. Exxon has no extra costs. This is why if Exxon sold it's oil for $1.25 a gallon they would still be making a profit. Gouging and profiteering plain and simple. |

| Iran receives its first shipment of missiles from North Korea |
| Here. Excerpt: Iran has received its first batch of North Korean-made surface-to-surface missiles that put European countries within firing range, Israel's military intelligence chief said in an interview published Thursday. The BM-25 missiles have a range of 1,550 miles and are capable of carrying nuclear warheads, the Haaretz daily reported. The report came as U.N. members consider slapping sanctions on Iran for refusing to halt its uranium enrichment. The United States, Israel and other Western countries say Iran is trying to get nuclear arms, but the Islamic regime says its atomic program is for civilian purposes only. The U.N. Security Council has given Iran until Friday to stop enriching uranium, a necessary step for developing nuclear weapons. Should Iran refuse to comply, which it has indicated it will do, the Security Council is likely to consider taking punitive measures. If Iran really is installing thousands of centrifuges all over the nation they will have highly enriched uranium in no-time. Good luck, soldiers of the future, yet another bungle that happened because Bush opened his mouth. Remember, had Bush not said anything the last time Iran had a presidential election there would be a moderate in power today. |

| Women's leader and sister of new Iraqi vice-resident assassinated in Iraq |
| Here. Excerpt: The sister of Iraq's new vice-president was shot dead on her way to his party headquarters hours after he met the visiting US secretaries of state and defence. Maysoon al-Hashemi, 60, who headed the Iraqi Islamic Party's women's department, died when her vehicle was attacked by gunmen in a speeding BMW shortly after she left home in Baghdad. Her driver was also killed. Her murder underlined the deadly risks run by those taking part in Iraqi politics. The threat is especially great for Sunnis like her brother, Tareq al-Hashemi, who have defied warnings from the Sunni-based insurgency not to join what it sees as US-backed puppets. Mr Hashemi's brother, Mahmoud, was killed in a similar drive-by shooting two weeks ago. Two days later, the brother of another Sunni politician, Saleh al-Mutlak, was abducted and murdered. | Here. Excerpt: Two families filed a lawsuit on Thursday against a Massachusetts town and its public school system after a teacher read a gay-themed fairy tale to children without notifying them first. The suit against Lexington, about 12 miles west of Boston, seeks unspecified damages after the book "King & King" was read to a classroom of about 20 mostly 7 years olds. It is believed the first of its kind, the families' lawyers said. The complaint said the school had "begun a process of intentionally indoctrinating very young children to affirm the notion that homosexuality is right and normal in direct denigration of the plaintiffs' deeply held faith." It also charges that Lexington broke a 1996 Massachusetts law requiring that parents be notified of sex-education lessons. It names Lexington Superintendent of Schools Paul Ash and several other school and town officials. Ash said the school was under no legal obligation to inform parents the book would be read. "This school district is committed to a welcoming environment for all kids. We embrace the diverse nature of the community," he told Reuters. "King & King" tells the story of a crown prince who rejects a bevy of beautiful princesses, rebuffing each suitor until falling in love with a prince. The two marry, sealing the union with a kiss, and live happily ever after. Ash has said reading the book was not intended as sex education but as a way to educate children about the world in which they live, especially in Massachusetts, the only U.S. state where gays and lesbians can legally wed. It was read during a lesson on different types of weddings. How come homophobe Republicans are always the first ones to call for the elimination of trial lawyers while also being the first ones to retain them? Oh no, your kid heard a story about two kings getting married. Better take them to a wrestling event and out hunting to vaccinate them against further gay intrusions into their lives. |

The guy starts out with claiming that Zarqawi is dead and has been for years (I don't think so, as he just released a new video showing that he is, infact, alive and well), that his being alive was made up by the Pentagon... Just like Flight 77. This is what the Author says at one point: They say a picture is worth a thousand words and Jon Carlson came up with a photograph of the Pentagon that is very revealing. As you look at the photograph dismiss the rubble and the fact that people died in that part of the building. Pay attention to the left hand side, especially at the roof and the corner of the building on the left hand side of the collapsed area. I will explain below the photograph what you are looking at. |

| That clean break on the left hand side occurred along what they call an expansion joint or a construction joint by some. All buildings have them because all buildings expand with heat and contract in cold. How did those wily Arabs know to hit the Pentagon at one of its weakest points? That absolutely clean break is telling and so is the width of the opening. No, genius, that clean break is telling of where the joints are in the building. Period. Also, "How did those wily Arabs know to hit the Pentagon at one of its weakest points?" Do you people ever use logic in your arguments? How many websites out there use as an argument that the government orchestrated the events of 9/11 the fact that the plane happened to hit the only reinforced section of the Pentagon? It can't be both the strongest and the weakest point in the building. Why would A3s need to used to do this? What is so hard to accept about the fact that a plane was hijacked and crashed? What is it that your mind cannot accept? You wrote me earlier about how people said it sounded like a missile (even though I pointed out that a jet and missile sound the same because they both have the same kind of engine) and now you think it was a jet? How many contradictions can you serve up in your arguments? |

| Like the Pentagon's lack of troops, the media has a lack of reporters in iraq |
| Here. Excerpt: Journalists are reviled by many for alleged negativism and over-focus on bad news in Iraq. Or perhaps the problem is: Their employers are just trying to do it on the cheap. Ironically, the same media that criticizes the U.S. for sending too few troops to stabilize Iraq send too few reporters to cover much more than the dramatic bombings around Baghdad. “I hope we keep out of the post-Vietnam thing that the press lost the war,” Joe Galloway, soon to retire military editor for Knight Ridder, recently told me in an interview. But discrepancies in what’s reported, or an imbalance, are daily highlighted by military bloggers in Iraq and conservative commentators here at home. If truth is journalism’s goal, cheapness within journalism undermines it. Embedded reporter Paul McLeary wrote in Columbia Journalism Review not long ago, “In Iraq, the untold stories pile up, one by one by one,” because “there just aren’t enough of them [journalists] to give the conflict its due.” I turned to Joe Galloway’s 41years of experience in military reporting to see what can improve military-press relations. Some 692 journalists embedded during the invasion of Iraq. Interviews by the Institute for Defense Analysis reported, “The participants’ overall assessment …was that it was successful and that it benefited the military, the media, the public, and the military families.” Yet, the program has withered to several dozen embeds today. Why? Galloway says there’s “growing resistance from the military to [those] embeds” it considers negative. Meanwhile, the $30,000 or more per month (above wages) cost of supporting reporters in Iraq is more than most media organizations want to spend, even though this is a major war and more important than many other beats. If only there were more reporters in Iraq maybe George would see some of the good news that apparently happens there... But the reporters are too scared for their lives to go which is a story in and of itself. |

| Subject: Evidence Of Thermite On WTC Core Columns - Photo |
| From: Dennis |
| Hey there, Whatchya think about this? Dennis http://www.rense.com/general70/pphe.htm I know that it is possible for thermite to be present just because of what was burning. A steel building with probably oxidation and an aluminum aircraft crashing through the aluminum skin of the building and igniting everything could create some thermite fires. However, thermite would not burn sideways but follow the path of least resistance and burn down, not horizontally--let alone at a perfect 45 degree angle. Therefore, those columns could not have possibly been cut by thermite. The melts would have to be much bigger too as thermite requires 1 part oxidized metal to 1 part pure aluminum; so, whatever melt is left would have to be twice what was originally in the column. There is also no date with the photo nor is there any substantiation of what the melted things are. It could be melt from having work crews in there cutting apart the debris pile. Also, I would like to point out that the collapse of the buildings began at the top where the planes hit, not at the bottom. |
