Full Story

The following video has nothing to do with this story. It’s just a toot in infrared and is fun to watch.

Hydrogen sulfide gas is produced in the cells that line the blood vessels of mice. This gas is what makes farts stink. The gas from farts comes from bacteria breaking down food in our intestines. Our blood does not fart. Instead, the H2S that is produced by the cells in mice (and presumeably in humans as well) relaxes the tissue of the blood vessels allowing them more elasticity and flexibility resulting in lower blood pressure.

When I am older, and and my heart is ready to go, I am going to fart into my IV bag.
